Great Get Together Tent at The Alban Festival
On Sunday 23 June the Alban Festival will bring the streets of St Albans alive with events and activities to celebrate the Roman Heritage of the city!
Whilst this promises to be a fun filled day, some people will appreciate some quiet time away from the crowds and so Communities 1st are supporting the Great Get Together tent. The aim is to enable anyone who may feel lonely, isolated or in any way vulnerable (including elderly people, people with mental health issues and learning disabilities, people with access issues and others ) to have some quiet time during a very busy day in St Albans.
In the tent people will find a friendly welcome and a chance to sit down and have a chat. It’s also a chance to learn about local support but the main thing is just to find some restful space.
If your organisation works with potentially vulnerable groups, Communities 1st would welcome your staff volunteering with us at the tent on the day. We would also be happy to display any relevant leaflets on your behalf.
If you would like to volunteer at the tent or display your leaflets, please contact Christine on 020 3940 4869 or firstname.lastname@example.org
