Book Keeping

Every charity/non-profit organisation has a legal obligation to keep records of their transactions.

There is no set format that must be adhered to but at the very least records of all sales, expenses and purchases should be kept. Unfortunately, if a charity fails to keep adequate records then they could be fined.

Communities 1st offers a full book-keeping service, this can be short term cover (eg. for staff sickness) or a long term arrangement.

There are several advantages to using our book-keeping service:

  • No worries about holiday or sickness cover
  • Fully experienced, qualified, staff with a full understanding of the local charity sector
  • Every hour you pay for is a fully productive hour
  • We can increase or decrease the hours each week, depending upon your requirements (e.g. month and etc.)

Communities 1st is able to offer book-keeping support in a number of ways.

This can range from temporary support due to illness or a break in employment of your book-keeper to a fully managed service.
