We are a small friendly team of staff and volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds. The Administrative Assistant will play a critical role in helping to further develop and establish the charitable organisation

by supporting one of the two Managers and/or the Chief Executive.

This role offers a great opportunity for the right person who is looking to; gain experience in the Third Sector; develop their office-based and management experience, or just simply 'give something back to their community. If you are looking for flexibility and autonomy, this role is for you.



What will I be doing?

Helping to raise the profile of our charitable organization and generate funds,
Assisting with managing projects,
Creating reports for the projects when required,
Maintaining records and files,
Updating and ensuring the accuracy of organisations database,
General administrative support like looking at office equipment, answering incoming emails, redirect emails to the right person etc,
Contributing to staff meetings and other internal meetings with views and suggestions etc,

We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

Committed to working with the community with a passion for helping others less fortunate,
Good written skills and ability to speak confidently with a variety of stakeholders,
Ability to work to tight deadlines,
Well organized, pro-active and able to deliver tasks efficiently,
Good time-management skills,
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel,
To show professionalism at all levels and in all environments,
Strong team player,
Ability to work independently and ask for clarification when needed,
Commit to at least 1 day per month,

Time of day: Weekday Mornings, Weekday Afternoons

Practical Considerations: This opportunity is suitable for those people who would like to get office-based experience.

No formal qualifications or prior experience are required to volunteer with us.

We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and abilities.

A full charity induction will be given before the volunteer starts with us and ongoing training is offered depending on what you are working on.

Home-based and in your local area.

References will be required from applications and will be taken up.

Volunteers MUST be over 16 (or be accompanied by an adult if under 16).
