We are looking for volunteers to help us to provide a basic hearing aid maintenance in people's homes, including cleaning, rebooting and battery exchange. Free comprehensive training given for this opportunity.

Practical Considerations: Full training is given, which will include visits to an Audiology Dept. Practical approach and patience with the elderly. An empathy with hearing loss difficulties an advantage. It is not necessary to have any previous experience. Petrol and out of pocket travelling expenses paid.

Ideal opportunity for somebody looking to get into social work or caring as full comprehensive free training will be given and can be done somewhere convient for you. Hearing Loss can be very isolating but having a properly functioning hearing aid can make all the difference. Many people don't cope well with using or maintaining their aids and this is where our volunteers provide a vital Hertfordshire service. Help us to provide a basic hearing aid maintenance in people's homes, including cleaning, retubing and battery exchange. Times are flexible, minimum of 2 hours a month on location within easy travelling distance for the volunteer.
