We offer exciting and engaging educational programmes for primary school children, all led by our highly experienced education officers who bring history to life. Our programmes allow students to step back in time with costumed educational staff to learn about life during WWII on the Home Front, discover how the Victorians lived, explore the Viking way of life or encounter the story of Guy Fawkes. Alternatively, schools can take advantage of our 170 acres of natural parkland with our outdoor Explorers programme. We are expanding our audiences and are looking for a volunteer who is interested in heritage and learning, quite confident with Microsoft Office and comfortable with speaking to new people on the phone. The task is to assist with outreach, market research, marketing and administration to promote the Royal Gunpowder Mill’s ever popular education programme. This is a great opportunity to gain experience of working in a heritage organisation.
