Requirements (additional): Our charity’s activities take place within the St Albans District, and as such volunteers need to be based locally to ensure they can easily access and participate in our community events.

Full Description:
Ad Hoc Volunteers support Youth Talk with small, practical tasks that arise throughout the year. This role is ideal for people who want to help in a flexible, low‑commitment way.


*Tasks may include*
• Posting or distributing flyers
• Moving equipment between local venues
• Supporting simple admin or office tasks
• Helping with light logistical jobs
• Assisting with small one off requests from the team

Requests are shared through a WhatsApp group and you can opt in when you are available.

Flexible, often around 2 hours per month

*What we ask from volunteers*
• To be reliable and arrive on time for agreed shifts
• To let us know as early as possible if you can no longer help
• To follow guidance on health and safety, safeguarding and confidentiality
• To represent Youth Talk in a positive and respectful way
• To raise any concerns if something does not feel safe or right


This is a flexible, practical role where you can get involved as much or as little as suits you, while being part of a team making a real difference.

Youth Talk is a local charity providing free, confidential counselling to young people aged 13 to 25 in St Albans and surrounding areas. We offer a safe space where young people can talk openly about whatever is worrying them and get the support they need to improve their mental health and wellbeing.
