Please note that:

- Trustee positions are voluntary and unpaid, although reasonable expenses may be reimbursed.
- Trustees have legal duties and responsibilities under charity and company law.
- Trustees are expected to attend Board meetings, prepare by reading papers in advance, and contribute to discussions and decision-making.
- Trustees will be asked to join sub-committees, working groups, or attend charity events.
- An enhanced DBS check is required.
- Trustees must be eligible to act as charity trustees and company directors.
- We welcome applications from people with lived experience of learning disability, family carers, and people from all backgrounds and communities.

As a trustee, you’ll play a vital role in overseeing our work, ensuring we continue to provide essential support and services. Whether you have experience in finance, fundraising, governance, or just a strong commitment to inclusion and equality, we’d love to hear from you!

We are particularly keen to hear from people who have strong connections to our local community and share our commitment to supporting people with learning disabilities and their families.

While trustee experience is not essential, we would especially welcome applications from individuals with skills or experience in:

- Human Resources (HR)
- Fundraising and income generation
- Grant applications and bid writing

We are looking for people who can bring their expertise, ideas and local knowledge to help guide the charity's future development. Most importantly, we are seeking trustees who are passionate about making a positive difference and are willing to contribute their time, experience and enthusiasm to our mission.
